Working with dealers is a great source of work. Land Rover got in contact with me for a Escort Passport 9500ci for one of their clients that recently purchased a 2012 Range Rover. The install was is a simple one without any custom mounting for the display and control modules but that doesn't mean it didn't get the Octave treatment.
Starting at the front with the front shifters and radar head. This is the first time I got the chance to use the clamp style mounts that come with the shifters. I must say I'm impressed with how well they work. This is looks like it's going to be a simple install after all.
After everything was mounted and aligned I went about running the wires. Flex loom was used to cover the wires to give an OEM appearance.

Next came the back side shifter and wire routing.
After that I moved on to ignition power source. With an empty spot in the fuse box that has switched 12v and one of my favorie fuse taps and we're done.

The client specified that the display be mounted at the upper corner of the windshield like their Panamera. Not my choice but hey it's out of the way and within eye view.
I mounted the control module just under the A/C controls. I shaved a bit of the back of the module so that the wire would run down instead of to the left which allowed me to hide the wire.
With everything mounted and wired I set about finding a place for the control box. There was a spot under the dead pedal area that fit the box perfectly.
All wire was tied up and and hid along factory wiring.
The speaker and USB dock was mounted to the under dash panel. The speaker plays through an opening in the under dash and is kept out of sight.
